FEMchess term 2 registration is officially open as of February 19th @11:59PM and will close on March 6th @11:59PM! Late registrations will be accepted until March 20th @11:59PM, but those who need a diagnostic test (ONLY for new students with previous chess knowledge) should email us at femxchess@gmail.com or they will be placed in level 1 automatically. All registration instructions are posted on our "Official Registration" page under the "Register" tab. Video instructions walking through the registration process is also posted! If you have any questions, please feel free to email us and we will assist you within 24 hours! Thank you for your support and we are excited to work with your daughter!

Welcome to the FEMchess blog! We will be posting on here frequently with updates on what we are working on, when classes will start, student progress in class, what we do in class, event notifications and flyers, updates when new sessions will start, zoom links for public informational sessions, the benefits of chess, and star students who have significantly improved or won a tournament! Hello students and parents! FEMchess has officially finished its second week of classes and we are very happy with the progress our students are making. We will provide you with information shortly about your child's progress.
As we are a new organization, we are always striving to improve our chess classes and implement new ideas! We will be coming out with information about future tournaments, guest speakers, chess challenges, weekly newsletters, scholarship opportunities, and other events as well, so please stay on the lookout for our emails for updates about these opportunities so your child does not miss out! All of the events need to be funded by parents and other providers, so if you have not donated yet, please consider doing so! You can read about why you should donate to FEMchess on our Donate page.
We would love your feedback as well! Hello Everyone! FEMclasses have begun this week and are going great! Here's some important information that you need to know for this session:

Office Hours:
For students who missed their class for that week OR have questions
Level 1: Saturday from 4-4:30 PM PST
Level 2: Saturday from 4:30-5 PM PST
Level 4: directly contact the coach for rescheduling or questions
Book on website weekly at least 6 hours before
Switching Classes (if you are absent):
Only for Level 1 students
Email ahead of time to do this
Can make up a class by attending a separate class during that same week
Must switch to a class that occurs in the same week of the absence
One-time switch, just for the absence
Example: Student A is missing her Friday class from 7-8 PM (January 8, 2021). She can switch her class to a class on Monday of the same week (January 4, 2021). To do this, parents must email us beforehand.
Note: Coaches will also go over this information with students in their class.
