Welcome to FEMchess!

Welcome to FEMchess, a non-profit organization that aims to close the gender gap in chess by teaching inexperienced young girls how to play the sport and helping experienced girls improve their skills and ratings. We strive to provide a competitive and empowering environment for girls to play the sport. Our classes will be free, but we do have a suggested donation every quarter to help cover our maintenance costs. Our classes will also all be online over zoom and we will be using various platforms such as chess.com, chessplayground, lichess.org, and others to teach chess to our students.
