FEMchess is a youth-led nonprofit organization that aims to bridge the chess gender gap by teaching young females about the game in an empowering and competitive environment. Only about one in seventeen players are women, and our goal is to change that. We are run entirely by unpaid volunteers who coach ambitious girls in the art of chess. All of our volunteers have many years of tournament experience, and many have coaching experience.
